I joined EVS few months ago in a PHP/MySQL course. I was aware of HTML already, but was ignorant of CSS, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL, Ajax. My experience with EVS for learning all these things was really great. Actually the course moved as HTML first then CSS –> JavaScript –> PHP –> MySQL
There were simple TAGs in HTML, forms, tables, lists. CSS is totally styling of HTML. JavaScript was just intro and best used for form validations. MySQL was not so tough, it was just like tables in ACCESS but interaction with these tables with PHP was with queries. Overall, a programmer has to develop the required thing first, then try his best to short its code as much he can just to lower the burden at server and load website fast at visitor’s browser.
I learned these things up to my mentality. It was 4 months course and still one month course is remaining. I developed few scripts for myself like www.link-checker.org and now working on a job portal website.
My aim was to learn PHP and make scripts for myself, but as I learned it, I thought to take it as professional and offer PHP Development service over freelancing sites. Actually friends, I don’t know why but I don’t want to offer services for PHP Development as there is already burden of my SEO Services and still clients’ orders could not deliver on time and bulk work is there.
However, I am happy that I know PHP and whenever I wish to do something, I make it myself in PHP
